Originally from London, England Lynn’s early career was in publishing, advertising and public
relations. After moving to the US she returned to college and earned a degree
in fine arts from Salisbury State University. A few dissatisfied years as a decorator soon led Lynn to
portraiture. Using graphite, colored pencil, pastel and watercolor she found she had a talent in capturing the
personality of her subjects. A three year return to England and extensive tours of Europe awakened her ’eye’ for the
landscape and a study of miniature painting. |
While living in England Lynn was a member of
The Hilliard Society, The Society of Limners and was accepted into an exhibition
of The Royal Miniature Society and included in group shows at London’s
Westminster Gallery and Mall Galleries. Lynn Hosegood’s work is in private collections in UK, Tortola, BVI and the US.
She is a member of the board of This Century Art Gallery, Williamsburg, a member
of the The Southern Watercolor Society and the 2002-2003 President of the
Virginia Watercolor Society.
