I enjoy exploring multiple techniques and approaches that give me a stronger voice, allowing me to share with others the feelings and emotionsin my life. One of the ways I express this is through my abstract pieces. I love doing these abstracts, using watercolor, acrylics, inks, colored pencils and crayons. I also can stain white tissue papers with liquid acrylics. By adding many of my marks, I build on my work creating more layers as I go. Then I apply these handmade colored papers onto watercolor paper. I am able to create bright bold colors and textures in interesting patterns, shapes and color combinations. All of these elements allow each viewer their own interpretation of the piece.

I have been interested in the spiritual side of art for over20 years. I started my journey studying the Laws of Light, Color, and Darkness as they appear in the atmosphere. This was based on the studies of how color appears in nature from Newton, Goethe, Collot and others. Working with watercolors I often lay down 30 to 40 veils or glazes of watercolor in a painting. Images emerge from the formless abstract world of color, bringing the spiritual and physical together.
